Account Recovery
PRC is non-custodial. Your wallet is controlled by keys that never leave your device. Recovery means you use your seed phrase (and passphrase, if you set one) to restore access. We cannot reset or recover a lost seed.
We will never ask for your seed phrase, private key, or passphrase. If anyone does, it's a scam. Report to [email protected]
Quick Actions (For Urgent Cases)
Open Web Wallet → Import
Launch wallet.prc.network to import your existing wallet
Move Funds to Fresh Wallet
If compromised, create new wallet and transfer all assets
Revoke Risky dApp Approvals
Remove permissions from suspicious applications
Check Network Status
Verify if transactions are stuck due to network issues
Need help? [email protected] (24–48h response); [email protected] for vulnerabilities (PGP available)
What PRC Can and Cannot Do
We can:
- Guide you to import with your seed/passphrase
- Help verify derivation path / network if balances look wrong
- Provide steps to revoke approvals and secure funds after compromise
- Verify downloads (hashes/PGP) and version info
We cannot:
- Recover or reset a lost seed phrase or forgotten passphrase
- Move funds for you or access your wallet
- Reverse blockchain transactions
Recovery Scenarios
Lost seed phrase (no backup available)
Outcome: Recovery is not possible. No wallet—including PRC—can restore funds without your seed/passphrase.
Steps:
- 1If you still have device access: Create a new wallet immediately and move funds
- 2Make two offline backups of the new seed (paper/steel) stored separately
- 3Prevention next time: Run a recovery drill (import using backup) before holding significant value
Forgot app password/PIN (you have the seed)
Outcome: Regain access by re-importing, then set a new lock.
Steps:
- 1Open Web Wallet → Import
- 2Enter seed phrase (and passphrase if used)
- 3Confirm derivation path and network(s)
- 4Set a new app lock (PIN/biometric)
- 5Your funds are intact; the app lock only protects local access
Device lost/stolen/broken (you have the backup)
Outcome: Restore on a new device and, if risk of compromise, migrate funds.
Steps:
- 1On a safe device → Open Web Wallet → Import
- 2Enter seed + passphrase (if any) → verify address/balances
- 3If you suspect exposure, create a new wallet and move funds
- 4Revoke old approvals on dApps from the new wallet if needed
Account/wallet compromised (suspected hack/phishing)
Outcome: Contain damage, rotate keys, and remove malicious permissions.
Steps:
- 1Disconnect any suspicious dApp; revoke approvals
- 2Create a new wallet (fresh seed)
- 3Move remaining funds to the new wallet (use small test first)
- 4Share details (URLs, tx hashes, approvals) with [email protected]
Technical issues (app won't open / blank screen)
Outcome: Quick fixes to resolve common technical problems.
Steps:
- 1Hard refresh; disable extensions (ad/script blockers); try another browser/private window
- 2Clear site data for wallet.prc.network; check /status
- 3Verify you're on the correct network; update to the latest version
- 4If still failing: /support/troubleshooting or email [email protected] with logs/screens
Safe Recovery: Best Practices
- Offline backup only (no photos/cloud). Two copies; separate locations.
- Consider a passphrase for higher security (but never forget it).
- Test a full recovery once with a small balance.
- Keep some native token for gas when moving funds after recovery.
- Always verify URLs and downloads (hashes/PGP on /download).
Common Misconceptions
"Support can reset my wallet." — False. Only your seed/passphrase restores access.
"All wallets recover the same way." — No. Use the same derivation path and network.
"I backed up later in photos; it's fine." — Risky. Cloud leaks and device thefts are common.

Legal & Policy Notes
• PRC is a non-custodial wallet provider; we do not hold user funds.
• We cannot recover a lost seed/passphrase or reverse blockchain transactions.
• See /legal/terms, /legal/privacy, and /security/responsible-disclosure for details.
Honest by design: self-custody means full control — and full responsibility. We'll guide you clearly, but we can't replace your keys.
