Create Your First Wallet

Generate a secure, non-custodial wallet, back it up correctly, and verify your recovery in under two minutes.

TL;DR

  • Create a new wallet (keys generated locally).
  • Back up your 12 words offline (no screenshots).
  • Verify 3 words to confirm your backup.

Security Notice

We will never ask for your seed phrase, private key, or passphrase. If anyone does, it's a scam. [email protected] See Responsible Disclosure and Security Audits.

What You'll Do

Create a wallet (keys generated locally on your device)
Set an app lock (PIN; biometrics if available)
Back up your seed phrase the right way
Verify your recovery (quick check)
Enable your networks (e.g., Ethereum, Arbitrum)

Step-by-Step

  1. Start

Open the PRC Web WalletCreate New Wallet (or choose Import if you already have one).

  2. App Lock (protects access on your device)

Web: Set a 6-digit PIN / passcode and an auto-lock timer (recommend 1–5 min).

If supported: Enable Biometric via Passkey (WebAuthn) for Face/Touch unlock.

  3. Generate Seed

Default: 12-word BIP-39 seed. Advanced: 24 words (store with extra care).

Seeds are generated offline; nothing leaves your device.

  4. Back Up Seed (offline)

Write down the words exactly in order. Make two copies; store separately.

Do not: screenshot, email, cloud-save, or paste into notes.
  5. Optional: Passphrase (25th word)

Adds an extra secret that derives a different wallet from the same seed.

    Warning

If you forget it, funds are irrecoverable.
  6. Verify Backup

PRC will ask for 3 random words by position (e.g., #4, #9, #11) to confirm you wrote them down correctly. You'll see “Backup verified”.

  7. Enable Networks

Pick the networks you plan to use (e.g., Ethereum, Arbitrum). Add more anytime in Settings → Networks.

  8. Fund & Test

Tap Receive → copy address/QR → send a small test. Then try a small Send to learn fees and confirmations.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Skipping the backup ("I'll do it later"). → Don't. Back up now.
Screenshots/cloud storage of seed. → Treat seed as live cash.
Forgetting passphrase after enabling it. → If you add one, memorize and store offline.
Wrong network (expecting ETH on Arbitrum, etc.). → Confirm network before sending.
Pasting seed into websites/forms. → Never do this. PRC will never ask.
